A package has exploded at a FedEx depot in Texas of the United States, the local fire department said.
An employee was injured when the package containing nails and shrapnel exploded shortly after midnight local time at a distribution facility in Schertz of Texas.
According to Reuters, the package was bound for Austin of Texas, 65 miles north of Schertz.
It was unclear if the explosion was related to a string of bombings in the Texas capital over the past two weeks that have killed two people and wounded four.
The first three devices in Austin were parcel bombs dropped off at night in front of homes on the city’s east side, with the fourth a tripwire device that went off in a west side neighborhood on Sunday.
All four devices were similar, police said on Monday.
