Walton TV customers to receive 10pc cash back on Akash connection

Country electronics giant Walton as well as leading DTH (Direct to Home) service provider Akash lunched a joint campaign in an effort to give a new viewing experience to the customers, says a press release.

Under this campaign, customers of Akash DTH will get 10 percent cash back on the connection price after purchasing and connecting connecting the newly bought Walton TV.

The offer will continue from December 20, 2020 to January 31, 2021.

Walton and Akash jointly declared the launching of joint campaign at a virtual meeting on Sunday.

The function was addressed by Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited directors Raisa Sigma Hima and Rifah Tasnia Swarna, Managing Director Engineer Golam Murshed, Walton TV’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engineer Mostafa Nahid Hossain Ovi and Beximco Communication’s Chairman Shayan F Rahman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) DS Faisal Hyder and Head of Marketing and Business Development Muhammad Abul Khair Chowdhury, Head of Business Planning and Supply Chain Zia Hasan Khan and Head of Sales and Distribution Shah Mohammad Maksudul Gani.

During this joint campaign, customers will receive cash back coupon at the time of purchasing any of the models of Walton LED and Smart TV from the country’s any Walton Plaza or distributor outlet. And customers will get the discount through this coupon to buy Akash connection from any of Akash's 8,000 outlets or by online or call centre. Subscribers can request customer centre for 10 percent cash back after recharging one month subscription and activating the regular or basic connection of Akash. Cash back will be offered after checking customers’ information including TV serial number.

At the event, Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited’s Director Raisa Sigma Hima said that Walton TV became the customers’ top choice brand and thus also the local brand has been meeting a lion’s share of the domestic demands of TV.

As the Bangladesh’s only listed ‘Licensed TV Manufacturer’ of Dolby and Google, Walton is manufacturing international standard LED and Smart TV, designed with advanced features, Dolby sound system, crystal and transparent image, she noted.

By launching joint campaign today, Walton and Akash embarked on a new journey to give new viewing experience to the customers, Hima added.

Walton is locally manufacturing TV’s motherboard, LGP, LDP, software and hardware at its own factory in Chandra, Gazipur. The company has its own research and development (R&D) wing for television production where a bunch of skilled and talented engineers are constantly working with the latest technology and features and they are producing energy efficient innovative technologies’ televisions. Along with meeting the domestic demands, Walton has been exporting its locally finished television to a good number of countries of the Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Walton is guaranteeing up to four years on LED and smart TV panels of 813mm or more size with six months replacement. Swift and best after-sales service is being provided through 76 service centers across the country, adds the release.

Akash DTH, the country’s only legal DTH service provider, started to provide its service using the feed of the Bangabandhu Satellite-1 from May, 2019. Akash is becoming popular among the people of the country. The brand is trying to make Akash connection more affordable by reducing connection price, monthly subscription fees and promoting various offer.
