Walton is setting up a three-storey premier pavilion at the upcoming 23rd edition of the month-long “Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2018 in line with green technology.
The fair is scheduled to begin at the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Monday (January 1).
The pavilion will feature transparent display, 11-ft width entrance or exit gate, 7-ft width stair for easy movement on different floors, ramp stair for physically sick or disabled people, enormous fire and electrical safety equipments.
Walton Pavilion’s Convener Shah Shahid Chowdhury said they are constructing the pavilion taking in view that is the premier electronics brand in the local market and most of the visitors visit the pavilion every year.
The construction work is going on in full swing. More than 80 per cent work has been done. Now, they are decorating the interior part of the pavilion, he said, according to a media statement.
He added that the pavilion will have, he added, an 11-ft wide entrance and exit gate so that large number of buyers or visitors can make an entry and exit at the same time.
Moreover, there will be a ramp stair for ease the movement of the physically sick or disabled people. And a spacious modern lift is being set up so that the visitors could easily move among the pavilion floors, Chowdhury informed.
Pointing at the safety issue, Walton Group’s Senior Assistant General Manager Architect Sadde Mohammad Rumman said they are establishing the pavilion on 7,500 square feet with the aim of luring buyers and visitors.
He said, “We followed the green-technology method during the establishment of Walton Mega Pavilion at the DITF-18. And, about 90 percent construction materials of the pavilion are reusable.”
Walton Group’s Executive Director (PR and Media) Md Humayun Kabir said they have employed more than 50 people showcase products at the DITF fair.
