Walton honours 31 with ‘Television Branding Stars Award’

Md Saiful Islam, manager of Walton Plaza Mazar Road branch at Mirpur in Dhaka, and Atanu Roy, area manager in Mirpur Zone, receive crest, certificate and Tk 150,000 worth cheque as the first prize of ‘Television Branding Stars Award’ from the company’s higher officials at a programme held at Walton Corporate Office in Dhaka city on Thursday evening last.

Walton has recently honoured 31 individuals and organisations with ‘Television Branding Stars Award’.

They were awarded in recognition of their performance in promoting Walton TV and creating digital awareness among customers through conducting creative branding of the Digital Campaign, the local electronics giant said in a press release on Monday.

The award was distributed at an event organised by Walton Television Department at Walton Corporate Office in Dhaka city on Thursday last, according to the release.

Walton TV has been conducting Digital Campaign across the country to accelerate its digital customer database initiative for delivering online based warranty and best after sales services swiftly, according to the release.

Walton sales team’s representatives have been branding the campaign through Walton Plazas as well as distributors across the country, it says.

Among them, 31 individuals and organisations were honoured with ‘Television Branding Stars Award’ in three categories of area manager, regional sales manager and divisional market monitor, the release notes.

At the event, the awardees –  11 area managers, 11 Walton Plaza branches, two regional sales managers, two distributors, one divisional head and four divisional market monitors – received crests and certificates, according to the release.

Walton TV exports register high growth

Even amid the Covid-19 pandemic situation across the world, according to the release, Walton has managed to expand its locally finished television export market to the European countries like Denmark, Germany, Poland, Greece, Spain and Croatia.

With this, it adds, the local electronics giant registered 10 times higher exports of television in 2020 compared to the previous year.

This year, Walton TV’s Chief Executive Officer Engineer Mostafa Nahid Hossain said, Walton has set a target of expanding the export markets of its ‘Made in Bangladesh’ labelled television to more than 20 new countries, including America, Australia and some European countries.
