Walton has extended the time frame of its ‘Digital Registration Campaign’ for two months considering huge responses of the customers.
The local electronics giant started the three-month long campaign back in October, 2017, aiming to accelerate its online based post-sales services through bringing the appliances under registration.
The tenure of the campaign was scheduled to end on December 31, 2017. However, the local brand extended the campaign’s timeframe up to February 28 of the current year.
In the campaign, the company offered different valued cash vouchers to encourage the customers in spontaneously registering their purchased appliances from any Walton Plazas and distributors outlets across the country.
Under the offer, the customers, who purchase products of minimum Tk 10,000 worth Walton products, are receiving up to Tk 0.10 million cash vouchers, by which they can further purchase Walton products.
During the period of October to December, a large number of customers willingly registered their appliances just after the purchase by sending SMS from their handsets, according to a media release.
Uday Hakim, senior operative director of Walton Group, said every year Walton sold out a good number of products at the Dhaka International Trade Fair.
Considering the customers’ huge response to the registration process, along with the advent of New Year and the month-long trade fair’ Walton extended the time frame, he said.
Under the campaign, details of the customers and their purchased products including the name of customer, contact number and the model of the product would be kept and stored on Walton server http://support.waltonbd.com which would help customers to get after sales service easily by logging in this web page and they would be able to see the status of the product from online.
