Bangladeshi tech-giant Walton has become the title sponsor of the upcoming test series between Bangladesh and New Zealand. The official name of the event is ‘Walton Test Series’.

Walton and ITW sports management signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard on Tuesday.

Walton will receive additional priorities and facilities in the ground and during media coverage as a title sponsor of the two test series, according to the MoU.

“it is a matter of pride for Bangladesh that Walton is going to sponsor an international tournament. It's an example that the Bangladeshi organisations are now dominating the world arena. Walton is with cricket and will always be. Wherever there is cricket, there is Walton,” said Mr Hakim at the signing programme.

Walton has been sponsoring almost all major domestic cricket events in Bangladesh for a long time while maintaining regular title sponsorship of international cricket events.

According to the fixture, the first match will start at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on January 1, 2022, and the second match will start at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on January 9.
