United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB), in collaboration with Incentive Remit (M) and FELDA Mobile (a joint venture company of Malaysia Government entity FELDA), has recently launched a real-time international remittance service in Bangladesh.
The service will allow Bangladeshi migrant workers living in Malaysia to send money to their family members directly through UCB’s digital payment system Upay wallet.
The Partnership will benefit immigrant community by providing an easy, simple, flexible, safe and cost effective option to send money to families and relatives at home, said a media release received today (Tuesday).
Besides, the migrants can send remittance through all the other digital and distribution channels of UCB including Branch, Agent Banking and Ucash.
Managing Director of United Commercial Bank Limited Mohammed Shawkat Jamil, Additional Managing Director of UCB Arif Quadri, Additional Managing Director of UCB Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, Deputy Managing Director of UCB Nabil Mustafizur Rahman, Managing Director of Incentive Remit (M) SDN BHD Maninder Bhullar, CEO of Marvel Communication SDN BHD Ram Kumar and CEO & Director of Felda Mobile SDN BHD M Sabbir Chowdhury were present, among other senior officials from respective organisations, at the launching ceremony.
