Uber has launched a new service called UberIntercity, allowing commuters to book rides for from Dhaka to Gazipur and Savar.
Uber introduced the service to facilitate intercity rides from Dhaka for round trips to Gazipur and Savar at a fare of Tk 22 per km and Tk 3 per minute distance and time structure, reports bdnews24.com on Thursday citing a statement.
“Aimed at enhancing the mobility experience of riders, the service will also enable seamless travel.”
The intercity-ride option will be shown on the Uber app, which will show approximate fare to the destination and actual fare will come according to the distance travelled and time spent on trip.
For one-way trips, there will be a return fare automatically applied once a trip ends outside Dhaka service area and the return fare will be charged according to the distance travelled in Gazipur or Savar area, according to the statement.
In case of a round trip, fares will be calculated on the basis of distance and time spent during the entire trip.
