Uber expands services to 20 cities in BD's 8 divs

Ride hailer Uber on Tuesday announced the expansion of its services to 20 cities, spread across all eight divisions in Bangladesh.

"We aim to double down on serving the mobility needs of our customers by focusing on products that best fit the market," said Md Armanur Rahman, Head of Bangladesh and East India, Uber.

"Our journey is only just beginning and we look forward to celebrating many more milestones in the years to come," he added.

Uber services are now available in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Bogura, Bagerhat, Barishal, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Jashore, Cumilla, Moulvibazar, Nilphamari, Sreemangal, Feni, Dinajpur, Khulna and Cox's Bazar.

Additionally, to introduce the magic of urban ridesharing mobility at the tap of a button throughout the country, Uber launched Moto recently in Gazipur and Natore, its 19th and 20th cities respectively.

With the addition of these two places, UberMoto is now available in all the 20 cities, UberX in 5 cities, UberPremier in 1 city, UberCNG in 3 cities, Rental in 3 cities, Intercity in 4 cities and UberXL in 2 cities.

Recently, Uber also launched a slew of new features for driver partners which empower them to make informed choices.

To remove frustration for riders and drivers alike, the ridesharing platform now shows trip destinations to drivers upfront before they decide to accept the ride.
