Two online postgraduate diploma (PGD) courses of the DCCI Business Institute (DBI) began for the new batches on Friday.
The six-month-long courses are 'Customs, VAT and Income Tax Management' (6th batch) and 'International Trade (Export and Import) Management' (7th batch).
Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Senior Vice President Arman Haque inaugurated the training courses virtually as the chief guest.
He advised the course participants to obtain proper knowledge of value added tax (VAT) and income tax for achieving long-term business success in the current competitive global market.
"One should have a clear idea about VAT, income tax and other tax formalities to run a business successfully," he said.
Mr Haque also stated that the world becomes more global and connected. Knowledge about international trade could be a useful tool to bring people and countries together.
Executive Secretary of Dhaka Chamber Md Joynal Abdin, Course Coordinator Tamanna Sultana and participants of the courses joined the event.
