Two FUJIFILM printers available in Bangladesh from December

Graphic Machinery and Equipment (GME) Ltd has inked a partnership agreement with FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corporation (FFBI) to distribute two latest models of multifunction office printers in Bangladesh.

The two FUJIFILM branded printers - ApeosPrint C325 dw and Apeos C325 z -will be available in the country from December next, the local distributor said. The announcement was made at a press conference organised at GME Group head office in the city's Niketon of Gulshan-1 on Thursday.

GME Group Managing Director Dr Chowdhury Hasan Mahmud, GME Ltd Executive Director Faruk Ahmed, its Business Adviser Taskin Mustafa Choudhury, and Deputy General Manager Akmal Siddique spoke at the programme.

Meanwhile, Corporate Vice President of FFBI Ken Sugiyama participated in the event virtually from Tokyo, Japan while FFBI Senior Manager Yasunobu Nishiyama, and FFBI Division in Charge Kensuke Okumura were also connected.

Mr Sugiyama said, "For nearly a half century, GME has done a great job distributing FUJIFILM medical systems, graphics products, photo imaging products and many more."

Meanwhile, Dr Mahmud said, "We have been the sole distributor of FUJIFILM for about 50 years selling many products under the category of healthcare and graphic arts."

"We are in the list of top five distributors of FUJIFILM in the world," he said, adding that apart from Japan and China, FUJIFILM was set to launch its latest office printers in Bangladesh via GME.

He said the renowned Japanese company had been the trusted partner of GME and they had been introducing new products beside traditional ones considering the potential in the Bangladesh market.

Besides, GME Ltd Executive Director Mr Faruk noted that the two state-of-the-art printers came with one-year standard warranty while after sales services could be availed from four divisional service hubs across the country.

Responding to a question from the reporters, GME business adviser said there was a demand for about 67,000 to 70,000 units of office printers in the country per year maintaining a double digit growth.

About the price of the two printers, he said the Apeos C325 z would be sold from Tk 52,000 to Tk 55,000 varying features, while ApeosPrint C325 dw would be sold between Tk 72,000 and Tk 75,000.
