A two day ‘Bangladesh Denim Expo’ kicked off Wednesday in Dhaka city with the theme ‘transparency’ to highlight the need for transparency in the entire denim supply chain.
The 7th edition of the show is taking place at International Convention City, Bashundhara.
A total of 65 exhibitors from 12 countries are participating in the show while more than 12 thousand visitors from across the world pre-registered online to attend the two-day expo, organisers said.
A special fashion show titled 'Denim Innovation Night' presented by Pacific Jeans is going to be held in the evening highlighting the capability of Bangladesh in innovative design and creative presentation of denim wears.
“This is another important leap forward for us and for our country as well,” said Mostafiz Uddin, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh Denim Expo.
“Our goal is set towards improving the whole Bangladesh denim and apparel industry to create excellence made in Bangladesh, increasing cooperation, knowledge sharing and collaborative approach that is able to highlight best practices and potentialities to make denim more and more transparent,” he added.
A number of seminars on transparency and benefits of adopting transparent business practices and denim washing process will take place during the two day events.
