Traders asked to comply with directives on consumers' interest

The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) on Friday reiterated warnings to the traders to comply with its directives for ensuring interests of the consumers.

The DNCRP issued the warnings during its market monitoring drive at Town Hall Market in North Dhaka on the day. The agency also urged the traders to display the price charts of their products in a visible place in their respective shops.

DNCRP Assistant Director (Research) Pranab Kumar Pramanik led the drive.

He checked the traders' money receipts of purchasing products, and called upon them not to sell adulterated and substandard foods to the consumers. The official also urged the traders not to deprive the consumers by weight manipulation of products.

He told the media that the DNCRP's market monitoring drive will continue for protecting interests of the consumers.
