Trade and business sector attracted the highest amount of investment made by the country’s Islamic banking industry at the end of the past fiscal year (FY18).
Central bank statistics showed that around 31.25 per cent of the total investment of the Islamic banks went to this sector which was followed by industrial sector (27.42 per cent) and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or MSME (24.69 per cent).
MSME was the top sector for the investment made by the Islamic banking industry at the end of the previous fiscal year (FY17).
The ratio was 28 per cent which was followed by trade and business (27.83 per cent) and industrial sector (25 per cent) at the end of June, 2017.
