The government on Wednesday released Tk 13 billion to pay cash incentives on the export earnings.
It is the 4thinstallment of cash incentives for payment during the April-June period of the current fiscal year (FY2020-21).
The export-oriented sectors including readymade garment (RMG), frozen shrimp and other fish, leather items, jute and jute products enjoy the incentives, according to a circular of the finance division.
Of the amount, Tk 3.0 billion will be distributed for the jute sector while Tk 10 billionfor other sectors, it said.
A special 1.0 per cent cash incentive for the RMG industry is also included in the installment.
The government provides cash incentive to exporters for more than 35 categories of products.
