Thrust on uplifting trade barriers for mutual benefits

Speaker of the parliament Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has said trade inequality needs to be removed for mutual benefits of different countries.

She also highlighted the role of parliament members in this regard, as per a BSS report.

"We are dependent on each other for economic development in this globalised era . . . parliament members should play strong role to remove trade barriers for mutual benefits of all," said Chaudhury.

The speaker of the parliament said it while speaking at a workshop titled RSIS-WTO Parliamentarians Workshop 2018 in Singapore on Monday.

Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) organised the three-day workshop at a hotel in Singapore.
