Formulating a legal framework in management consulting profession is needed to prevent anyone from declaring oneself as a management consultant in absence of any government regulations.
The Institute of Management Consultants Bangladesh (IMCB) came up with the remarks on Friday at a press conference held at a city hotel on the occasion of “International Consultants Day 2018”.
The body also said due to an absence of legal framework, on one hand clients are being losers, on the other hand good management consultants are not promoted through following a prudent and unbiased procurement process.
The IMCB chairman M. Zakir Hossain, IMCB president Md Zahidur Rahman and treasure Tafazzal Hussain FCA, among others, were present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, IMCB chairman M. Zakir Hossain said, “The IMCB is pursuing the government to enact a Management Consulting Act for several years but it is yet to form.”
