A four-day trade fair titled 'Thailand Week 2018' begins at a city hotel on Monday to showcase Thai products and explore new areas of cooperation between Bangladesh and Thailand.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will inaugurate the event as the chief guest in the morning.
The programme will begin with a Thai cultural show, said an official, reports UNB.
Thai Ambassador in Dhaka Panpimon Suwannapongse and Minister Counsellor (Commercial) Suebsak Dangboonrueng will also speak at the inaugural session.
The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, and The Royal Thai Embassy will jointly organise the 'Thailand Week 2018' that will continue till April 26.
There will also be recreational programmes, including fashion shows and live music, every day of the fair to be presented by artistes from Thailand.
