Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh has honoured ten youngsters with ‘JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons (JCI TOYP) Award-2022’ in recognition of their outstanding contributions to society and remarkable achievements in their respective fields.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud and JCI Bangladesh President Niaz Morshed handed over the ‘Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Award-2022’ on Friday at a hotel in Cox’s Bazar.
Among the winners, Prothom Alo’s Digital Business chief Jabed Sultan was awarded for digital conversion of news media and innovation.
Other young award recipients are managing director of Munno Ceramics Rashid Maymunul Islam, KSRM’s Deputy Managing Director Shahriar Jahan, PHP Automobiles’ Managing Director Mohammad Akter Parvez, co-founder of Jatri and Chief Executive Aziz Arman, founder and Chief Executive of ARCOM Asif Rahman, co-founder and chief production officer of Shop-up Ataur Rahman Chowdhury, Doctor and development worker Tahsin Bahar, actor Mushfiq Farhan and YouTuber Touhid Afridi.
In his speech, Hassan Mahmud said Bangladesh could turn into a developed country by utilising the power of the youth.
JCI Bangladesh president said TOYP is a global award that more than 100 countries offer every year.
“With this award, we are recognising the young stars who have contributed in various fields and helped the country’s future growth,” he said.
JCI is a worldwide forum for young people aged between 18 to 40 years. It is contributing to the growth of flourishing young leadership.
