Sterling Classic Wears to invest $15m in Ishwardi EPZ

Sterling Classic Wears Limited will invest US$15 million to establish a garments manufacturing industry in Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (EPZ).

In this regard, Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) on Thursday signed an agreement with M/s Sterling Classic Wears Limited at BEPZA Complex in the capital, a press release said.

BEPZA Member (Engineer) Mohammad Faruque Alam and Chairman of M/s Sterling Classic Wears Limited M Siddiqur Rahman signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.

BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, its Member (Finance) M Mizanur Rahman and General Manager (Investment Promotion) M Ahsan Kabir were, among others, present at the signing ceremony.

Once the new industry is established, a total of 5,677 people will get jobs. The company will produce 15 million pcs of garment items, reports BSS.
