Three state-owned commercial banks -- Sonali, Agrani and Rupali -- got new managing directors.
The financial institution division under the ministry of finance gave government's consent in this regard on Sunday.
Managing director of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation Afzal Karim has been appointed as the managing director of Sonali Bank replacing Ataur Rahman Prodhan. Rupali Bank's deputy managing director Mohammad Jahangir has been promoted to the post of managing director of the bank who replaced Obayed Ullah Al Masud. And Deputy managing director of Sonali Bank Murshedul Kabir has been made managing director of Agrani Bank replacing Shams-ul Islam.
All the three appointments will be made on contact basis and for a three years term.
