Operators of e-commerce platform Alesha Mart allegedly fled their offices on Tuesday after failing to pay money back to their several hundred clients, according to reports by private TV channels.
The reports said the company's Banani head office in Dhaka along with two other branch offices was found shut when many of their customers rushed there to get their money back from it.
Neither any top executive nor any employee of the company was found there, the reports said.
Some of the aggrieved clients said they were planning to file cases against the company, according to the reports.
