Saudi foreign minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud says his country will take initiatives to steady the global oil market and smooth oil supply to Bangladesh.
He also recognises the need for expanding areas of bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh.
Prince Saud said these during separate meetings with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Prince Faisal left the capital the same day wrapping up his two-day official visit. He hit the city on Tuesday.
During the parley with the premier at Gonobhaban, he says Saudi companies are keen to invest in the energy sector in Bangladesh.

She points out that the government has made a move to establish 100 special economic zones where foreigners can invest on easier terms.
Greeting Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Al Saud, Hasina says Saudi Arabia always holds a special place in the hearts of Bangladeshi people.
The Saudi minister then says his country has a strong bond with Bangladesh and it will go from strength to strength in the coming days.
In addition to enhancing bilateral economic cooperation, he hopes, both countries will work together at international and regional levels.
Later, Prince Saud attended a political consultation with the Bangladesh delegation, led by his counterpart Dr AK Abdul Momen, at a city hotel.
