Rotary President Shekhor Mehata inaugurated the project to construct 500 comfort centers for neglected educational institutions across the country under Bangladesh Rotary Priority Community Project.
He opened the project at the training session of elected Club President and Assistant Governors of Rotary which held in Cox's Bazar on Thursday.
Rotary Governor M Rubayet Hossain, Governor elect Barrister Mutashin Billah Farooqi, Dr. Belal Uddin Ahmed, DFFL Rokeya Farooqui, Chief Adviser Magfur Uddin Ahmed, former governor Istiaq A Zaman, M Hafizullah, Safina Rahman, Shawket Hossain, Mohammad Ayub, Md Khairul Alam, DGN MA Wahab, DGE Abu Faiz Khan Chowdhury, Event Chair Ibrahim Khalil Al-Jayed Pinac, former governors and Rotary leaders also spoke at the programme.
In addition to installing high quality toilets in these modern comfort centers, menstrual hygiene management rooms and vending machines for sanitary napkins are being set up considering the needs of female students.
The project is being implemented with the joint funding of Rotary International and Rotary Clubs of Bangladesh.
