Robi, the country’s leading telco, has signed an agreement with the e-commerce marketplace Evaly.
Under the agreement, Evaly customers will be able to purchase Robi's android smart device Binge on the platform.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two companies in this regards at the Robi's head office in Gulshan recently, said a press release.
Evaly’s Chairman Shamima Nasrin and Robi’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Shihab Ahmad signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Mohammad Rassel, managing director and CEO of Evaly, thanked the Robi authorities and said, “The experience of watching TV has changed along with the shopping habits of the people. Now people want to enjoy the latest technology while watching TV just like they want to shop online. Robi is giving that opportunity to the audience and we will deliver Binge to the customers of Evaly. Hopefully, we can both contribute to the digitization changes in TV viewing patterns.”
Robi Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Shihab Ahmad said, “Robi is committed to meeting the digital lifestyle needs of its customers in line with the times. Intending to produce that result, Robi has launched the digital entertainment platform Binge which has already received a good response from the audience.”
“Therefore, we are pleased to have the opportunity to deliver Binge devices to our customers more easily because of this accord with Evaly,” he added.
Ehsan Sarwar Chowdhury and Arifullah Khan, executive directors of Evaly, Amitava Chakraborty, senior Manager, and Ahmed Arman Siddiqui, executive vice president of Robi, and A M Shakhawath Hossain, general manager of Binge, among others, were present in the signing ceremony.
More than 150 live TV channels, over 3,000 domestic and international web series, web films, exclusive originals and other digital contents can be enjoyed with Binge Smart Device.
