CHATTOGRAM: The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) held a view exchange meeting with representatives of Shimuju Corporation of Japan. The meeting was held at the World Trade Centre (WTC) hall room in the port city on Wednesday.
Kashiwamura Akira and Sakamoto Takuya of Shimuju Corporation of Japan led the delegation during the meeting. The meeting was chaired by CCCI president Mahbubul Alam.
Addressing the meeting, Kashiwamura Akira said, "The companies of Japan are interested to work with Bangladesh in civil and mechanical engineering sectors. The leading companies are interested to get involved in the construction works in Bangladesh."
CCCI president Mahbubul Alam said, "Japan is a friend of Bangladesh. The friendly relation among the people of Japan and Bangladesh is an example to others. We are also interested to work with Japanese companies, particularly in the private sector."
Among others, CCCI Directors Anjan Shekhor Das, Md Rakibur Rahman, Engineer Iftekhar Hussain, Sajib Ahamed, Md Iftekhar Foisal, S M Tahsin Jonaied, Md Adnanul Islam, former SVP of CCCI Omar Hajjaj, Director of Reliance Assets and Developments (BD) Omar Moktadir, Engineer S M Shahidul Alam, Mushfique Sadaf of GPH Ispat and Director of Junior Chamber Sayed Abul Hasnat were present at the meeting.
