Bangladesh would be a cosmetic production hub in Asia as cosmetics and skin care products of international standard will be produced and also exported to different Asian countries from here.
Even some world-famous brands will be exported from Dhaka.
Recently, globally-renowned cosmetic firm Remark LLC, USA, has launched its regional office for the Asian zone in Dhaka, according to a press release.
At the same time, Remark HB Limited, affiliated with Remark USA, has established an industry and research institute at Gazaria in Munshiganj. The facility will produce skincare, colour cosmetics and homecare goods for home and abroad.
As part of the process, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on Monday to export the American skincare brand SIODIL to Sri Lanka from Bangladesh through Lankan company Dermalife Pvt Ltd.
Remark USA representative in Bangladesh Arefin Shahriar, Dermalife chairman Ajanta Piasena and director Sen Radita, among others, were present.
At the event, Ms Peasena said, “American brand SIODIL is a very popular cosmetic brand as the demand for this product is growing for its qualitative standard. Today, we have signed an agreement to meet additional demands. This partnership will further widen the business spectrum of both of us.”
