Regency Hospitality Training Institute (RHTi) became the first and only institute in Bangladesh to settle official tie-up as Global Academic Partner (GAP) with AHELI (American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute).
These two entities are the training and education arms of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), world’s leading serving organisation in the global hospitality industry, said a statement.
AHLEI provides high-quality educational materials to schools and universities throughout the world, preparing hundreds of thousands of students for careers in the ever-expanding hospitality field.
Academic institutions recognise that AHLEI’s courses are supported by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), the representative of more than 25,000 members in the U.S. lodging industry and employing more than 1.8 million around the globe.
"The same industry-driven, competency-based educational materials are also available to our organisation through AHLEI’s Global Academic Partner (GAP)," the statement added.
AHLEI’s Global Academic Partner (GAP) programme allows an organisation to join an exclusive network of international hospitality schools and institutions. The GAP license provides international hospitality management and tourism schools with the opportunity to offer their students AHLEI respected and globally-recognized hospitality courses, multi-course certificates/diplomas, supplemental learning media assets, educator certification, and the right to use the AHLEI name, logos, and trademarks.
