The revenue authority will provide necessary trade facilitation for local electrical and electronic manufacturers and information technology companies in the next budget.
National Board of Revenue (NBR) chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said this at a pre-budget discussion with them at the NBR auditorium in Dhaka city on Wednesday.
He pledged support for the local electronic and electrical companies which are eager to come into manufacturing, and hoped that the local companies will export their own products in near future.
Many local companies have stepped ahead to set up manufacturing plants with the demand for electronic and electrical products growing locally, Mr Bhuiyan said.
He further said the government is also encouraging those companies with various facilities, including tax exemption.
The majority of the trade bodies demanded corporate tax cut in the next budget and it has been taken seriously, said the NBR chairman.
