Mobile financial service bKash will distribute the cash aid of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to one million and fifty thousand families affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Through this initiative, the prime minister stands by the families who have lost their livelihoods in the pandemic, said a press release.
Under the move, each family will receive Tk 2,500 as financial aid before Eid. The money will be disbursed digitally to the affected people after verifying their NID cards.
The beneficiaries won't have to bear any cash-out charges.
The government will pay Tk 15 of the total cash-out charge, while the rest of Tk 31.25 will be paid by bKash.
bKash has made necessary arrangements so that families can cash out the money smoothly.
The government’s timely decision has made it possible to disburse the financial aid among the distressed families in the pandemic.
