A total of 10.54 million new mobile internet subscribers have been added in 2021, reaching the country’s total users 123.82 million at the end of December, 2021.
The number of mobile internet users stood at 113.73 million in December 2021 while it was 102.353 million in 2020, according to the data of the Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
The internet subscribers were 111.875 million until December, 2020, it said.
Internet subscriber means subscribers/subscriptions who have accessed the internet at least once in the preceding 90 days.
BTRC has calculated the ISP subscriber information through intense market analysis, consultation and data collection from almost all ISPs.
