Nokia on Tuesday launched an affordable priced 4G smartphone which has a two-day battery life.
"With the Nokia 2, we wanted to replicate the unique Android experience we've delivered so far with the long-lasting battery which so many fans associate and expect from their Nokia phones," said Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, in the launching ceremony in a city hotel.
"To make this a reality, every component of the Nokia 2- from the display to battery, chipset to system design - has been engineered to draw as little power as possible from the huge battery to give fans a long-lasting phone they can rely on," he added.
The device was launched along with Airtel's bundle offer for subscribers to experience the best of what the device can offer.
Airtel bundle includes voice, data and content, says a report on BSS.
The cost of the bundle is Tk 9600. It includes the smartphone, 300 minutes of voice calls and 9B data out of which 6GB can be used for any purpose and 3GB can be used to access Airtel TV and Airtel-Yonder Music app.
This offer is given to customers for 3 months from the date of purchase with a validity of 15 days in each month at no additional cost to the customer, which is a savings of Taka 1,850.
As for the exclusive content, Airtel TV is offering rich streaming of 40+ live local and international TV channels which include Live Sports like Gazi TV as well as Airtel Yonder Music which offers more than 20 million local and international songs that also has karaoke functionality.
The Nokia 2 along with the Airtel bundle offer will be available from any of the Airtel experience centers, Robi Sheba centres and retail outlets selling Nokia devices across the country.
The 4G smartphone will be available in Pewter/Black, Pewter/White and Copper/Black.
