Chevron Bangladesh gets new President

Neil Menzies has been appointed President of Chevron Bangladesh with effective June 3.

According to a Chevron statement, Neil will lead the US Company's partnership with the Bangladesh government to continue providing reliable and affordable energy to the people of the country.

Prior to this assignment, Menzies was deputy managing director of Chevron's Eurasia Business Unit, reports UNB.

Chevron is one of Bangladesh's largest investors, supplying over 50 per cent of the country's natural gas production and making a significant contribution to healthcare, education, and economic development of communities.

Neil succeeds Kevin Lyon, who had been President of Chevron Bangladesh since January 1, 2015. Lyon has been appointed Special Adviser at Chevron IndoAsia Business Unit, based in Jakarta, Indonesia with effect from June 1.

Chevron operates and holds a 100 per cent interest in Block 12 (Bibiyana Field) and Blocks 13 and 14 (Jalalabad and Moulavi Bazar fields). Net oil-equivalent production in 2017 averaged 111,000 barrels a day, composed of 642 million cubic feet of natural gas and 4,000 barrels of condensate.
