Nine companies will receive awards at national level and 140 companies at district level as top VAT depositors to the public exchequer.
The NBR will hand over the awards on December 10 on occasion of national VAT day.
The board issued two separate gazettes Thursday with the names of the top VAT depositors on the basis of VAT payment in Fiscal Year 2015-16.
Of the nine national level award winners, Narsingdi gas field, Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Limited and Barger paints Bangladesh Limited has been selected under production category.
SC Johnson Private Limited, Unimart limited and Prince Bazar limited will receive the national-level award under business category.
Fibre@Home Limited, One World Aviation Limited and Bureau Veritas Limited has been selected under service category.
