Nagad has handed over more than a thousand pieces of personal protection equipment (PPE) to the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) to keep the elite force safe in the ongoing pandemic.
The mobile financial service of Bangladesh Post gave some 5,000 N95 masks and 1,000 hand sanitisers to the elite force in a ceremony at the RAB headquarters in the capital on Wednesday, said a press release.
In the event, executive director of Nagad Md Shafayet Alam handed over the PPE to the director general of RAB Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun.
Thanking Nagad, the director general of RAB said PPE will be very useful to the members of the force for ensuring better service to the people.
Mr Alam said RAB and other law enforcing agencies are working round the clock to ensure safety and security of the country.
“We are very glad to be standing by RAB”, he said.
Lt Col Md Kousar Soukat Ali (Rtd), Head of External Affairs at Nagad, Lt Col Mohammad Hasan-Ur-Rashid Been Mosharrof (Rtd), M Mahbub Alam, general manager Stakeholder Management, Head of Law Enforcement Agencies Squadron Leader Asma Alamgir, director general of Stakeholder Operations External Affairs Division, Director General of RAB Col KM Azad BPM, DIG Imtiaz Ahmed, Director (admin) and Lt Col Mohammad Khairul Islam, among others, were present at the event.
