Muhammad Awal khan has been appointed as the Managing Director of BASIC Bank Limited recently.
Prior to the appointment, Muhammad Awal khan was the Managing Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Limited (BKB) and Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank.
After obtaining graduation with honours and post- graduation degrees in Finance from Dhaka University in 1979, Khan started his banking career as probationary officer in Bangladesh Krishi Bank in 1982, according to a media statement.
During his long career he holds various capacities like Branch Manager, Regional Manager, Divisional Head and General Manager in different banks like Sonali Bank Limited, RAKUB and BKB.
