Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) has made a range of offers, including week-long discount deals on various products and services, for clients as part of celebrating its 23rd founding anniversary.
MTB offered discount deals with four real-estate companies, four automobile companies and four merchants as a token of appreciation for putting their seamless trust in this bank.
MTB Angona, a tailored product designed only for women to empower them with financial independence and simplified banking, launched MTB Angona Payroll Savers and MTB Angona Payroll E-Savers accounts.
The bank has also launched 'Complimentary MTB Air Lounge Access' for student file customers.
MTB managing director and CEO Syed Mahbubur Rahman made the announcements at a press meet on the office premises amid elaborate programmes commemorating trusted partnerships with clients, patrons and well-wishers.
Addressing the event, Mr Rahman said his bank is smartly expanding both digitally and physically.
However, replying to a question, he said existing 5.6-per cent non-performing loans of the bank will be reduced significantly by the next three years.
MTB is synonymous with trust and faith, according to Mr Rahman, as it is being operated efficiently with all the services a customer needs.
"We have taken necessary initiatives from our end to digitalise our banking operation," he cited.
MTB has already set up a separate digital banking department and recruited programmers.
"Besides, we're trying to deliver services to customers by partnering companies in the financial technology sector," said the chief executive.
The theme of this year's celebration is "23 Years of Trusted Partnership".
To ensure participation of its customers, stakeholders and employees in this bandwagon, MTB has been arranging various events including handing over crests amongst founding MTBians and long-serving employees.
Two 'Health Check-up' events in association with United Hospitals were also arranged for MTBians at MTB Centre and MTB Tower.
On this occasion, MTB Angona arranged physical training session styled 'Cybersecurity, Social Security and Self-Protection' for MTBians in Samson H Chowdhury Auditorium at MTB Tower.
Stalls such as Fair Food & Lifestyle Ltd, Fair Electronics Ltd and Neofarmers Bangladesh Ltd were installed at the reception lounge of MTB Tower.
These stalls have been offering exciting discounts for the entire anniversary week.
Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, additional managing director and group chief risk officer, Goutam Prosad Das, deputy managing director (DMD) and head of Group ICC, Md Khalid Mahmood Khan, DMD and CBO, and Rais Uddin Ahmed Khan, DMD & CAMLCO of MTB, among others, were present.
At the press meet, Mr Asif said, "We have been going through a crisis situation due to certain international and domestic issues."
"I hope that we all can work as a team and mitigate all issues while raising public confidence in financial systems," he added.
