Mitsubishi’s Setsuyo Astec Corporation starts journey in Bangladesh

Setsuyo Astec Corporation, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, has launched its representative office in the country to strengthen market survey, information collection and other such capabilities.

Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Kazi M Aminul Islam inaugurated the new office as the chief guest at a function held in a city hotel recently, said a press release on Friday.

Among others, Setsuyo Astec Corporation CEO Motokazu Inaba and senior officials of the Japan Embassy, Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA), Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) and Japan Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI) were present at the event, reports BSS.

In light of the business environment in Bangladesh, the press release said, they have set up the office in Bangladesh as their 11th overseas office.

This was done to provide detailed customer support and even higher levels of service by providing support to local sales agencies in addition to implementing timely market surveys and collecting information within the nation, the release added.
