Japan’s Mitsubishi Corp on Friday said it had agreed to acquire 25 per cent of Bangladesh’s Summit Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal and to develop a receiving terminal in the South Asian country.
The other 75 per cent of the Summit LNG (SLNG) terminal will be held by Bangladesh’s Summit Corp, Reuters reported.
SLNG will install a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) off the coast of Moheshkali where it will receive and regasify LNG procured by Petrobangla, the country’s national oil and energy company.
