Mercantile Bank Limited has recently signed an agreement with TRADEASSETS, a block chain-powered e-marketplace for banks.
Shamim Ahmed, Senior Executive Vice President, also the Head of International Division of the bank and Lakshmanan Sankaran, Founder Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TRADEASSETS signed the deal Thursday on behalf of their respective sides, said a media release Sunday.
Under the agreement, Mercantile Bank will be able to use the web based platform of TRADEASSETS for making Foreign Trade related transactions with different banks and fund managers in the secondary market.
Managing Director and CEO of the Bank Kazi Masihur Rahman and Deputy Managing Directors Md Zakir Hossain and Adil Raihan attended the signing ceremony along with other senior officials of both the organisations.
