A woman entrepreneur has received Tk 5.0 million in small and medium enterprise (SME) loans from Mercantile Bank Limited.
She is Ms Moushumi Zaman, proprietor of MC Trade Centre.
Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury handed over the money to her in the form of cheque on behalf of the bank recently.
The cheque handover took place at the 'Banker-Nari Uddokta Somabesh & Ponno Prodorshony Mela 2018’ organised by Bangladesh Bank at Shishu Academy.
Bangladesh Bank governor Fazle Kabi and Mercantile Bank deputy managing director Md Zakir Hossain, among others, were present on the occasion.
