The Board of Directors of NRB Commercial Bank Limited (NRBCBL) made a major reshuffle on Sunday electing new chairman and vice-chairman.
Tamal SM Parvez, a Russia-based Bangladeshi expatriate, and Mohammad Shahid Islam, a Kuwaiti permanent resident, were elected the new chairman and vice-chairman respectively of the fourth generation private sector bank.
The decision was taken at an emergency board meeting held at the bank’s Gulshan office, sources concerned said.
“Some major changes have taken place during the board meeting,” the newly-elected chairman of the bank told the FE emerging from the meeting in the evening.
