Economical Indian airline IndiGo is ready to start its activities in Bangladesh from August 1 aiming to ensure a courteous and hassle-free travel experience for the customers.
Chief commercial officer Mr William Boulter came up with the announcement at a press conference in a city hotel on Tuesday.
Mr Boulter said, “Terming the IndiGo as the largest low cost carrier, we are pleased to announce Dhaka as our ninth international destination and will operate daily flights between Dhaka and Kolkata.”
“The airline has completed 12 years of operations in Indian market as a low cost carrier, and adding that Dhaka to its network will further augment the regional connectivity that we aspire to provide to our customers,” he said.
The flight will depart from Dhaka at 7:10 pm (local time). The arrival flight from Kolkata is scheduled at 4:40pm (local time).
The introduction of these flights will provide connectivity between Dhaka and Kolkata with all-inclusive promotional fare offers starting from Tk 5,031.
