Petrobangla restarted on Wednesday the import of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar's RasGas.
The development came after a three-week hiatus in the supply of the regasified LNG to consumers.
The cargo from Qatar carrying 140,000 cubic metres of LNG has reached Moheshkhali floating terminal.
Unloading is expected to complete today, said a senior official of the state-run oil, gas and mineral entity.
Petrobangla had to cancel two import cargoes following disruptions to regasification on November 03 after a leakage in a hydraulic valve in the subsea pipeline.
The leaked 'actuator valve' between the FSRU (floating, storage, regasification unit) and the pipeline led to a halt in regasification at Excelerate Energy's terminal.
The authorities had to shut several gas-fired power plants and a fertiliser factory in its immediate aftermath.
Petrobangla is scheduled to import three LNG cargoes every month, each carrying around 140,000 cubic metres of lean LNG.
The RasGas has so far supplied around 1.0 million cubic metres of LNG through seven vessels, said the official.
LNG supply from the country's maiden FSRU reinitiated on November 15 after disruption of 12 days.
The US-based company's FSRU arrived at Moheshkhali terminal with a load of LNG on April 24.
But it got connected to the pipeline network on August 05 and commenced injecting regasified gas on August 12.
Technical issues and rough seas during the June-August south-western monsoon kept it stranded off the south coast of Chattogram for months.
Petrobangla started imports from Qatar regularly from September 09 after successfully supplying the regasified LNG to the consumers on August 18.
