M Latif Hasan has joined Standard Bank Limited (SBL) as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Chief Business Officer (CBO) on 30th September 2021.
Before joining SBL, he was the Head of Credit Risk Management at Eastern Bank Ltd.
Mr Hasan has worked for Citibank NA Bangladesh, Prime Bank, and Eastern Bank during his nearly 27-year career, holding positions such as Chief Financial Officer, Head of Business, Head of Export Finance, and Head of Credit Risk Management.
He was also a member of the BASEL II Core Implementation Team and the Tax Reform Committee.
Latif Hasan completed his master's degree from Dhaka University and is CSA (Credit Skill Assessment) certified from Omega Performance in the US. He earned his MBA from Victoria University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, and has attended several conferences, workshops, and training programmes in the United States and other countries.
