Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) has clinched the 1st prize in Corporate Governance at a ceremony organised by The South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) recently.
SAFA, an apex body of SAARC, has honoured Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) with the award for its excellence in Corporate Governance.
Md Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, FCA, Deputy Managing Director and Md Ashraful Alam, First Assistant Vice President of the bank received the award from Tanka Mani Sharma (Dangal), Auditor General of Nepal at a ceremony held in Kathmandu.
IBBL, securing first position, outshone thousands of institutions of SAARC countries, says a press release.
Under 13 categories including Bank and Non Banking financial institutions, Insurance, Manufacturing, Communication and Information Technology, the bank bagged the prestigious award.
Senior accountants of SAARC countries, directors, and top executives from different commercial organisations attended the function.
