IPDC Uddokta Summit 2018 held

IPDC Finance Limited along with Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN)’s entrepreneur development initiative ‘Chakri khujbo na, chakri debo’ and University of Asia Pacific (UAP) have jointly organized ‘IPDC Uddokta Summit 2018’, the first of its kind in the country.

The summit has been arranged on University of Asia Pacific, Farmgate. The two-day summit  ends today (Saturday).    

The IPDC Uddokta Summit 2018 has covered the topics like; Differentiation in Entrepreneurship, Strategy for Successful Enterprise, Lean and thin Startups, Entrepreneurship development, Learn from Failures, Challenges and solutions of entrepreneurs. The summit was focused on knowledge sharing, training, networking, match making, product and service displaying and growth in form of seminar, discussion, workshop, pitching session and networking event. The summit has hosted over 500 entrepreneurs from all over Bangladesh, 10 sessions, 4 workshop, 45 stalls to display and showcase the products and services. The attendees got the opportunity to broaden their knowledge about the entrepreneurship industry, get information about the current trends and changes and become aware of the opportunities of the current and future market.

Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Chowdhury, National Professor and Vice Chancellor of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) inaugurated the IPDC Uddokta Summit 2018 along with the special guests. Kazi M. Aminul Islam Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Mominul Islam, Managing Director and CEO, IPDC Finance Limited were present as the special guests in the summit.

IPDC Finance Limited’s Mominul Islam, Managing Director and CEO, IPDC and Rizwan Dawood Shams, DMD and Head of Finance, IPDC were the speakers in ‘Meet the Leaders’ session. IPDC’s Khadija Mariam was a panelist in the ‘Expand the Horizon’ (Woman only) session and Mahzabin Ferdous was the panelist in the ‘Start Your Startup’ session at the event. Aleya R Ikbal, Head of IT and Business Transformation, IPDC Finance Limited is a panelist in the session titled ‘Exploring and Leveraging ICT’. Corporate leaders from different companies were also present as panelists in different sessions on the summit.

Rizwan Dawood Shams, DMD and Head of Finance, IPDC Finance said, “I feel overwhelmed to see the blooming of entrepreneurs and the number of people getting involved to have new ideas and converting them into businesses. Most of the entrepreneurs are new, and each of them are valuable asset, in terms of new ideas. The SME sector”

Mahzabin Ferdous, Head of Corporate Communications, IPDC said, “Being designated as a communications personnel in IPDC, I am reliving my early days as I see new and young entrepreneurs are so involved in our country, and I am glad to be a part of this event. I am excited and happy to share my experience in the Startup for the new entrepreneurs and how communications remains the key to driving a new idea into a business.”
