'Go-Jek invests $2m in Pathao'

Indonesian unicorn Go-Jek is learned to have picked up a relatively small stake of around $2 million in Pathao, a two-wheeler riding startup app based in Bangladesh.

These companies are understood to have closed the deal a few weeks back, DEALSTREETASIA reports quoting two people familiar with the development.

As Pathao is not acute on selling and holding the majority of the company, Go-Jek has opted for a relatively small stake.

Pathao started off as a delivery partner to e-commerce merchants in 2015, which was founded by Hussain Elius. Now it claims to be the biggest transport service company in Bangladesh.
