The import activities through Benapole Land Port in Jessore remained halted since Thursday morning following a strike enforced by Indian traders at Petrapole.
They stopped carrying imported goods protesting customs' unnecessary delay in filling up forms of goods with the photographs of drivers and helpers, Petropole official said.
General Secretary of Petropole C&F Agents Staff Welfare Association Kartrik Chakrabarty said they went on the strike protesting the photograph process for exporting goods.
However, the country's export activities remained normal at the port, reports UNB.
Benapole port director Aminul Islam said loading and unloading of goods at the port was also normal.
