ICC Bangladesh delegation leaves Dhaka to attend ICC’s 12th World Chambers Congress in Dubai

A nine-member delegation of ICC Bangladesh, led by its President Mahbubur Rahman, left Dhaka for Dubai to attend the ICC’s 12th World Chambers Congress.

The World Chambers Congress (WCC) is the premier event of its kind bringing together chamber, business and government figures alike, according to a statement.

The 12th World Chambers Congress of ICC and World Chambers Federation (WCF) will be held in Dubai on November 23-25, 2021. The theme of the Congress is ‘Generation Next: Chambers 4.0’ to be jointly organised by Dubai Chamber. The 12th WCC is gearing up to be a world-class event bringing together some of the best minds in chambers, governments and businesses to explore how chambers are leveraging advanced technologies to achieve their goals.

Mr Rizwan Rahman, President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), has been invited as a speaker in the congress.

Besides ICC Bangladesh President Mr Mahbubur Rahman, the delegation includes  Mr Abdul Hai Sarker, chairman, Purbani Group, Mr Anwar-Ul-Alam Chowdhury (Parvez), managing director, Evince Group, Mr Mir Nasir Hossain, managing director, Mir Akhter Hossain Limited, Mr Mohammad Hatem, executive president, BKMEA and managing director, MB Knit Fashion Ltd. Mr Matiur Rahman, chairman and also managing director, Uttara Group of Companies, Mr Rizwan Rahman, president, DCCI, Mr Md Salauddin Yousuf, member, CCCI and director, Lub-rref (Bangladesh) Ltd, and Mr Ataur Rahman, secretary-general, ICC Bangladesh.

The delegation is expected to return to Dhaka on November 27.
